Illinois State Hockey Welcomes Kevin Kost

Illinois State Redbirds welcome Kevin Kost to the family! Kost, a 6′-5″ 190 lb. forward is an Orland Park, IL native. He joins the Redbirds after a successful season with the Chicago Cougars in the Premier division of the USPHL.

Kost chose ISU because it’s not too far from home and he knows a lot of people going there. He intends to be a business major. His favorite coach was Jimmy Mullin because “I had him my last year of 18U he helped me a lot.” Kost stated. Kevin’s biggest supporter is his mom. “She is always pushing me to do better.” Kost states. Kost’s favorite hockey memory was making it to nationals last year with the Cougars. Kevin’s favorite goal was his first goal in junior hockey.

“Kevin is a great player that brings a ton of size and experience to the club! We are looking forward to working with him and watching him have a successful college career!” – Coach Chris Prewitt.

Kost joins a list of Chicago Cougars to join the Redbirds for this upcoming season like Giovanni Gulino, Mike Lenhart, and Mike Sliwinski.
